yuanyang springs are important karst springs in the geopark. they are located at the foot of fenghuang mountain, 1.5 km east of fengshan county town at 495 m asl. yuanyang springs are comprised of south spring and north spring, both of which are perennial. separated by 200 m, one is blue and the other green, one clear and the other turbid. yuanyang springs are known as the most beautiful of the “eight famous scenery sites” in fengshan. yuanyang springs flow over the surface to join the jiuquriver, which meanders from east to west, crossing the county and joining theqiaoyinriver.
