Aerial photograph of a rare spectacle- Tiankeng group in Leye-Fengshan Global Geopark

Formed in 65 million years ago, the Tiankeng Group in Leye Guangxi Province, is a rare geological wonders of the world. Dashiwei Tiankeng  is one of the most representative Tiankengs. The pithead of Dashiwei Tiankeng is 600 meters long in east-west direction and 400 meters wide in north-south direction. The maximum depth is 613 meters, the pithead area is 166,600 square meters, the bottom forest area is 105,000 square meters, and the volume is 74.75 million cubic meters. There are 28 Tiankengs distributed within the area of 20 square kilometers surrounding Dashiwei Tiankeng. The number and density of tiankengs are rare in the world.
